Valentine’s Parv: Valentine’s day, Sanatan Way | An Initiative to Celebrate Love in a Sanatan Cultural Way

Valentine’s Parv: Valentine’s Day, Indian Way is a unique initiative launched by singer-songwriter, writer filmmaker, and humanitarian Dr. Krupesh Thacker. Established in 2014, this initiative marked the beginning of the Give Vacha Foundation NGO, with a vision to celebrate love beyond personal relationships and extend it to humanity at large. Unlike conventional Valentine’s Week (Valentine’s Day) celebrations, which focus primarily on couples, Valentine’s Parv broadens the concept of love with the Sanatan Dharma philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”—the world is one family. Through this initiative, Dr. Krupesh Thacker advocates the motto “Express Love to Everyone”, keeping the eternal and divine love of Shree Krishna at the center of the celebration.

The Foundation Project

The concept of Valentine’s Parv is deeply rooted in Dr. Krupesh Thacker’s artistic and literary works. The project is based on:

  • The musical album “Kyan Chhe Kano?”, which promotes love in its purest, selfless form.
  • The book “Arjun Uvacha: Kyan Chhe Kano?”, where the essence of love is explored through Bhagavad Gita’s teachings.

Inspired by the wisdom of Bhagavad Gita and the teachings of Sanatan Dharma, Valentine’s Parv aims to encourage acts of kindness, gratitude, and selflessness as an expression of divine love.

Theme Album: “Kyan Chhe Kano?”

The theme album of Valentine’s Parv, titled “Kyan Chhe Kano?”, was released on the first anniversary of the initiative on 14th February 2015. This 7-song album written, composed and sung by Dr. Krupesh Thacker played a pivotal role in shaping the Give Vacha Foundation’s projects. The song “Kyan Chhe Kano, daddy?” from the album became the foundation for all projects under the NGO, as it contains 21 one-liner answers, which serve as guiding principles for various initiatives throughout the year. Notably, four one-liners from the song are prominently used during the Valentine’s Parv celebration, reinforcing the themes of gratitude, attitude, selflessness, and helping hands (service).

Project Themes

The celebration revolves around four core themes, each symbolizing a way to express love in a meaningful and selfless manner:

  1. Gratitude Ma Kano: Kritagyata (कृतज्ञता) – Love through gratitude
  2. Attitude Ma Kano: Aham Brahmasmi (अहं ब्रह्मास्मि) – Love through respectful behavior
  3. Selfless Act Ma Kano: Sarve Santu Niramaya (सर्वे संतु निरामया) – Love through selflessness
  4. Helping Hand Ma Kano: Seva (सेवा) – Love through service

Each of these themes promotes a higher understanding of love, steering away from materialistic notions and emphasizing a spiritually enriched celebration.

Theme Song: “Love You Maa”

A significant musical contribution to Valentine’s Parv is its theme song, “Love You Maa,” which embodies the essence of unconditional love. The song is written, composed, and sung by Dr. Krupesh Thacker, while Vacha Thacker served as the lead singer. The youngest singer Parv Thacker and Dr. Pooja Thacker played the lead roles in the song, further emphasizing the theme of universal love. The song is from the movie “Main Bhi Arjun” Parv“.

The Gujarati version of the song, titled “Tu Chhe O Maa,” extends the same heartfelt message in a regional linguistic flavor. Parv Fusion Band has served as the official artist group for Valentine’s Parv over the years, spreading its musical and spiritual message through performances and recordings. This song is from “Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad” Gujarati movie.

A Legacy of 12 Years and Beyond

In 2025, Valentine’s Parv will celebrate its 12th year, marking over a decade of spreading love through meaningful actions. The initiative has gained recognition for inspiring people to redefine Valentine’s Week into a celebration of love in all forms—towards parents, teachers, the elderly, nature, and society at large.

Dr. Krupesh Thacker has also announced that the learnings and experiences from Valentine’s Parv will be featured in his upcoming film “Main Bhi Arjun.” This movie is the third installment in the Main Bhi Arjun Universe—a film series based on the practical implementation of Bhagavad Gita teachings in modern times. Valentine’s Parv will serve as an example in the film, illustrating how expressing love beyond personal relationships aligns with the path of Karm Yog and Bhakti Yog.

Conclusion

Through Valentine’s Parv, Dr. Krupesh Thacker has successfully redefined the way love is celebrated, integrating it with Sanatan values and selfless service. The initiative continues to inspire people to look beyond conventional notions of Valentine’s Day and embrace a universal, all-encompassing love. As Valentine’s Parv enters its 12th year, its impact remains a guiding force in the practical application of Bhagavad Gita’s teachings, proving that true love is about giving, serving, and respecting.

This initiative is a beacon of hope, reminding us that love is not limited to one person but belongs to the whole world—a message that echoes in the eternal love of Shree Krishna.
