ABOUT POETRY
Presenting the Gujarati poem written by Shri Madankumar Anjaria ‘Khwab’ (Madankumar Dhanlakshmiben Jawerilal) for the book ‘Kutchi Mijaaj Kavysangrah’. The book is a compilation of the writer’s emotions about the biggest Kutchi Literature & Music Festival ‘Kutchi Mijaaj: Kutchi Sahitya Sangeet Parv‘ organized by Give Vacha Foundation, Krup Music, and Esy ID in association with Global Literature and Cultural Club.
The book is part of the Shabda Vandna project.

ગાંડા બાવળની વચ્ચે એવા ડાહ્યા કચ્છી,
કે મૃગજળની વચ્ચે પણ ગંગા નાહ્યા કચ્છી.
સુંગધના સાક્ષાત સરનામાં સરીખા,
ખુદ છે અંતરના અક્ષરના ફાયા કચ્છી.
હો ઘાસચારાની તંગી, ભાઈચારાની નહીં,
વિશ્વબંધુ તરીકે દુનિયામાં વખણાયા કચ્છી.
બેશરમોના બુરખા ખુલ્લાં પાડવામાં,
બિલકુલ, ધરાર ના શરમાયા કચ્છી.
એમને બાંધી શકે, તાકાત કોની છે!
પણ પ્રેમ મળ્યો ત્યાં સામે થી બંધાયા કચ્છી.
કચ્છ–કિલ્લાની મજબૂતીનું તો પૂછવું જ શું!
જ્યાં એખલાસની ઈમારતના છે પાયા કચ્છી.
જગમાં વગાડ્યા ડંકા, એમાં નથી કોઈ શંકા,
જ્યાં સૂર્ય કિરણોની ઝડપે ફેલાયા કચ્છી.
ખૂલી આંખે જેણે ‘ખ્વાબ’ સેવ્યા કચ્છીયત નાં,
બસ, માત્ર એમને જ સમજાયા કચ્છી.
