“Maa Parv: Mother's Day, Indian Way” is a film based on the event “Maa Parv: Mother's Day, Indian Way" by writer & director Dr. Krupesh Thacker.

This is a poignant story of a Sixty years old labourer Rambhai, in a rustic village of Gujarat, pushing his life ahead, cutting through the surrounding dire situation, struggling for his meagre livelihood for his asthama ridden ailing wife, a 35 year alcoholic son, still holding a childhood mentored grudge against the minorities. The irony of his life appears in the form of his daughter-in-law, belonging to the religion/caste, he loathed the most. But what to say of his destiny, having lost his ridden wife haplessly before his eyes, being abandoned by his son and daughter-in-law, staying like a destitute, he is forced to leave the village life and embrace the city culture and life. Enroute his city journey, he meets a 10 yr. Old boy, also a runaway case, from his home. Rambhai isolates form the innocent boy, instantly knowing his identity (Rahim) despite the boy's instantaneous emotional proximity bonding to be with him. Marking a turn of events, creating a bond whit the new generation amidst the vibrant city with a humanistic touch, we follow him in how he re-unites whit the boy whit a refreshing greater bonding and emotions, keeping aside his ill-taught orthodox views on caste and religion. The protagonist Ram Bhai soon discovers his true life beyond all these petty reserves. But situation and destiny had other ideas and something else in store. The movie has a strong social message for human beings' essential need for having a strong bonding towards all caste, creeds & religion, to live in peaceful harmony, love, and bliss in the contemporary world. A movie whit gripping performances and soul-stirring fast paced content. It definitely eyes for a National award, and what more can be hoped for an entry nomination to the Oscars.
