Global Clubfoot Day | 7 May | Day of Hope
ABOUT GLOBAL CLUBFOOT DAY
Global Clubfoot Day is observed annually on 7 May, marking the official launch of the Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv (GCAP) movement. The date honors the birthday of Parv Thacker, a Guinness World Record holder, artist, and Global Clubfoot Awareness Ambassador.
His personal transition from clubfoot treatment to international recognition forms the foundation of advocacy initiatives like ‘Rise Like Arjun’ and ‘Right to Rise’. Driven by the ‘Awareness through Arts’ motto, his contributions span cinema, through the film Main Bhi Arjun: Parv, and live music with the Parv Fusion Band’s “Gunje Gita” initiative. Furthermore, these artistic efforts link spiritual music to healthcare advocacy, highlighted by the Grammy consideration campaign for Sound of Sanatan: Vol. 1—a devotional album integrated with GCAP and “Music Therapy for All” initiatives.
